The Protagonist
This series was developed as part of my MFA illustration project at the University of Manitoba. Through a combination of large-scale watercolor and acrylic paintings, the works explore themes of memory construction and the fragmentation of personal identity. Rather than presenting a linear narrative, the images reflect a process of visual memory reconstruction—fragmented, elusive, and repeatedly reshaped through recollection. These works do not aim to represent memory as fact, but instead as something uncertain, layered, and subjectively intensified through the act of remembering. In this way, the protagonist is never fixed; identity becomes a site of negotiation between the remembered self and the imagined one.

Surrealist Art Series
This series brings together multiple visual languages to present my surrealist tendencies and a painting style that is both dense and enigmatic. Each work reflects a continued exploration of one central concern: the alienation of the human condition and its poetic, abstract expression.
By borrowing elements from various sources—figures, symbols, fragments of memory—I seek to construct a new visual experience. The shifting forms and layered compositions are not meant to explain, but to evoke a sense of ambiguity, emotion, and symbolic resonance.

Dry Brush Watercolor Series
This series explores the expressive potential of dry brush watercolor techniques on medium-rough watercolor paper. By using a fine liner brush to apply pigment in repeated layers, I emulate the layered, opaque quality of tempera painting—an ancient technique known for its precision and permanence. The slow, deliberate buildup of color creates a surface that feels both quiet and dense, echoing the silent presence of the objects portrayed.
The choice of still life as a subject matter is intentional—it is a genre traditionally associated with observation, contemplation, and symbolic meaning. By engaging in a slow, process-heavy technique, I invite viewers to slow down as well, to become more conscious of their own act of looking. In this way, the series becomes not only a study of form and material, but also a reflection on the cultural and perceptual frames through which we view images and objects.

Lily Flower Series
This series marks a period of focused exploration into the cultural symbolism and metaphorical meanings of lilies, alongside reflections on the tension between industrialization and the natural world. The lily, as a recurring motif, serves both as a personal emblem and a broader visual code that bridges beauty, fragility, ritual, and resistance. Visually, the works borrow from the aesthetic ideals of William Morris—his intricate patterns, decorative richness, and fusion of art and nature. Through these influences, I aim to construct a visual language that is both contemplative and ornate, one that invites the viewer to linger on surface and meaning alike.

Still Life Painting Series
This series is part of my ongoing exploration into art as a form of healing, and watercolor as a way of living. Through the quiet observation of everyday objects, I engage with painting as a meditative act—one that reconnects the hand, the eye, and the inner self. I am particularly drawn to the material beauty of watercolor—its transparency, fluidity, and sensitivity to gesture. Each piece seeks a balance between decorative naturalism and expressive brushwork, inviting viewers into a gentle, attentive space of seeing.

Ink drawing
This series is a visual construction of imagination—simple, ambiguous, and evocative. Using spontaneous ink lines and minimal elements, each piece echoes the themes of the novel it relates to, mimicking the fragmented and elusive quality of memory. Rather than offering clear narratives, the drawings invite viewers into an open space of interpretation, where memory and fiction blur into each other.
